Web & Digital Media Student Internship
The Office of Communications and Marketing’s Web & Digital Media team is looking for student interns to assist with the Tennessee Tech website and digital content creation for the university’s website, digital signage and social media accounts.
Student Intern Responsibilities
- Assist with management and standardization of the main Tech website through our content management system, OU Campus. This could include organization of pages, linking to other pages/content areas, ensuring compliance with university brand standards, etc.
- Work with an assigned client(s) to provide assistance and management to their own web, digital signage and social media assets. Clients will predominantly be colleges and schools within the university.
- Create content (such as, but not limited to, photos, videos, written text and digital graphics) as needed by the Office of Communications & Marketing and the client.
- Be responsible with the collection, organization and completion of requests by the client as approved by the Director and/or Assistant Director of Web & Digital Media.
- Work with a team of interns to see the completion of projects as needed.
Student Intern Experience Requirements
- Working knowledge of content management systems for websites.
- Experience with content creation in at least one of the following areas: Web Design, Photography, Video, Graphic Design, Writing/Editing, or Social Media
- Training will be provided.
- Ability to work with others in a team environment
- Ability to be creative and organized with problem-solving
- Ability to take direction and work to meet expected deadlines and schedules
- Familiar with the latest trends in digital media
